In simple terms tea is the mixture or brew made from the infusion of water and the leaves of a plant, which is of Camellia family. Tea is mostly grown in India, Sri Lanka, Kenya, and China, and Japan.
Black Tea is the most common form of tea. Black tea is a dark tea prepared from fresh tea leaves. Leaves of black tea are more heavily oxidized. Black tea is fully fermented before being dried. Black tea contains caffeine, which makes its flavor stronger. One of the important facts about black tea is that it preserves its flavor for several years and other teas usually loose flavor within 8 to 9 months. About 80 to 90 percent of people around the world drink black tea.

Four types of tea are available in market White, Green, Oolong and Black. What distinguishes each one is the method used when processing the tea leaves. The way the tea leaves are processed, oxidized, steamed, and dried gives the tea the special characteristics of its category.
In the case of White Tea, the leaves that are used to prepare the tea are picked once a year mostly in spring and that's why it's less common than others. The main point differentiating between all the four teas is processing. White and Green tea are not fermented, Oolong tea is partially oxidized and Black tea is fully oxidized. It's a processing only, which differentiates the tea name and flavors. Black tea is stronger as compared to other ones. Green tea is more delicate and less strong than Black Tea. White tea is the most delicate flavor out of all types of tea.
